‘Puppy Time’ is a very crucial stage of a dog’s development. Allowing puppies to socialise with other dogs will ensure they are happier, healthier and obedient pets.
We offer a 4 week course where puppy will learn all the basic obedience exercises such as sit, drop, come when called, how to walk on the lead nicely & have plenty of valuable socialising ‘Off Lead Play Time’ with other puppies in the class. There is also a major focus on behaviour issues to make sure your puppy is on the right track for life such as the All Important toilet training, chewing and teething, barking, jumping up and basic good manners.
Our Puppy Pre- School is instructed by Kristine Lennard a DogTech trained Canine Behavioural Therapist and Trainer. The course consists of 1 hour classes held on Tuesday nights for a period of four weeks, plus a Graduation Certificate on completion of the course, please see course structure below;

For the health and safety of your puppies all of this must be held in a ‘controlled and safe environment, noting that our puppies may not be fully vaccinated at this stage. With all this in mind our Puppy Schools are run by a trained Canine Behaviorist & Trainers and are held at the Veterinary Surgery & not in a park etc where you’re puppy may come in contact with all sorts of diseases.
Please Remember, the most crucial time of a dog’s life is between 8 and 18 weeks of age so it is very important to get your new puppy into a Puppy Class to ensure we get the dogs foundations rightfor a happy & fulfilling life with our new companions. If Tuesdays do not suit you DogTech also run Puppy Courses at other locations every day of the week.
DogTech are the Barking and Difficult dog professionals and are also available to do in-home training to resolve Barking problems, separation anxiety, jumping, lead aggression, pulling on the lead when walking, and digging.
Rather than fear-based techniques DogTech only uses positive reinforcement methods, so no hitting them or yelling at them or tying the dog up for punishment.
If the dog doesn't respect the pack leader (the owner), then they won't listen to you, so we put a lot of focus into teaching the dog who is the Leader of the pack and the owner on how to be a good Leader.
